Keyboard
Conversations Sunday, March
29, 2009 – 4:00 p.m. Jeffrey Siegel leads the audience in a musical
excavation of what originally inspired classical composers. Before
performing each piece Siegel shares remarks that will make the music more
accessible and the listening experience more focused and meaningful. Each
program is then performed in its entirety. Keyboard
Conversations are for anyone who loves music – or wants to love it with
even more gusto. Be sure not to miss this Center favorite as he gives new
insights into the power and passion of Beethoven. The program will include
notes from “Fur Elise,” the humorous “Rage Over a Lost Penny,”
“Moonlight” Sonata and the Sonata Opus 110, written after
deafness had engulfed the composer. Suitable for
all ages. |
