VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
AT THE CENTER

Center Tour Guide:

Tour Guides are trained to give in-depth tours of the entire campus both indoors and outdoors.

Education Docent:

Education Docents are trained to give tours of exhibitions to visitors of all ages, including students in grades K-12. Docents are trained in the Visual Thinking Strategies (art curriculum that encourages critical thinking).

Education Volunteer:

Volunteers work on a variety of arts education-related projects including Artsmart, Art in Action, and Center wide events..

Get the Word Out Marketing Volunteer:

These volunteers, also known as the Center Street Team, assist the Marketing Department in taking collateral materials out into the community through store front businesses and local organizations such as the library, community centers, and scheduled event venues.

Information Volunteer:

These volunteers represent the Center at the Concert Hall information table and encourage people to signup for mailing and on-line newsletters as well as dispensing collateral materials from Season Brochure to flyers about upcoming events and services.

Office Support (General):

Office support volunteers are needed in various departments for both set times and periodically Tuesday through Friday. General duties may include filing, sorting, mail stuffing, data entry, typing, front desk relief, answering incoming calls, special projects, etc.

Studio Instructor:

Work with and help to inspire groups of children through art projects related to the themes of the Museum's exhibitions.

Usher:

Enjoy a variety of shows in our theaters while performing various duties for Front of House operations including ticket taking, seating guests, giving directions, working as a coat room attendant, and providing general customer service to our guests.

Conference Center Volunteers:

These volunteers assist the Conference Center with a variety of functions, including providing guests with campus directions, registration and check-in functions, answering general questions, administrative tasks, etc.
