EDUCATION PROGRAMS IN THE ARTS
2007/2008 Education programs for students, educators and families at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido .  Get ready for the time of your life.

The Education Department at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido aims to serve our audiences by offering programs that celebrate the arts, include innovative strategies for using the arts as a teaching tool, and inspire people of all ages and cultures.

Arts education has been at the heart of the Center’s mission since its founding. The premise is simple but profound: participating in the arts helps build engaged, creative human beings, and engaged, creative people build better communities. Through partnerships with schools and local organizations, the Center’s arts education programs have grown over the years and utilize the Center’s performing arts theaters, art museum, and arts studios.  They include programs in different arts disciplines for all ages such as the educators' open house, teacher workshops, school programs, family performances, museum tours, and artist demonstrations. Each of these provide for lifelong learning in the visual arts, music, dance, and theater.
