Fall 2010 Exhibition: Leveled: An Interactive Experiment in Art

Artists Doris Bittar, Wes Bruce, Ingram Ober and Marisol Rendon present large-scale, interactive installations based on different connotations of the word green.

Work with artist Marisol Rendon to create stuffed fabric fruit and vegetable sculptures inspired by her artwork. Take your creations home with you at the end of the day!

Fantastic Forts
October 9, 2010, 11a.m.–1:30p.m.
Dream up, design, and create your fantasy fort with artist Wes Bruce. Activities include scavenger hunts, story telling, and fort building. For children ages 5-10 accompanied by an adult. Please bring a bag lunch.
$10 Members, $15 non-members
Admission includes one child with one adult.
Each additional member is $7; $10 for non-members.
Off the Wall

Jump into action with artists Doris Bittar, Diane Gage and Jonathan Glasier as they explore Arabic, Aztec and Chinese culture through the art of pattern, poetry, music and dance. Also performing will be Zaytouna Dance Troupe, Muevete Dance Studio and Silk Road Dancers.

Patricia Patterson: Here and There

This retrospective exhibition features the paintings and installations of locally-based and internationally-renowned artist Patricia Patterson. Patterson’s work shows the contrasts between everyday domestic scenes of life on the Aran Islands of Ireland’s west coast and her home in Southern California.
