The Education Department at the Center will install a Camera Obscura in Grape Day Park for Escondido’s Saturday in the Park program from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, January 9th. This Camera Obscura was designed and produced by San Diego artist David Fobes as an educational piece to accompany an exhibition at the Museum of Photographic Arts. The giant camera replica is 9ft. by 9 ft. and stands 8 feet tall. Participants can walk through the structure and get a lesson in the science of spectroscopy as they see the inner workings of a camera.
