The interior design of the Center’s Concert Hall is reminiscent of Europe’s classic performance venues. More importantly, it is considered to have the finest acoustics in San Diego. Famed performers ranging from Vince Gill to Wynton Marsalis, Itzhak Perlman, Kris Kristofferson, Clint Black, Joshua Bell, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Bob Newhart, Julio Iglesias, Queen Latifah as well as the National touring companies of RENT, Gypsy, The Producers, Say Goodnight Gracie, Jesus Christ Superstar – and dozens more musicals, dance companies, symphony orchestras and individual artists – have graced the Concert Hall stage.

On a smaller scale, the Center’s 400 seat theater, equally as handsome, comfortable and acoustically sensational has been the ideal setting for Ricky Lee Jones,  Susan Egan, The Ahn Trio, Four Bitchin’ Babes, Mortified, The Waifs, and a host of other performances best suited for an intimate theatrical environment.    

Matching the Center’s superb facilities is its Technical Department which is capable of meeting the challenges of the most complicated production demands. In fact, the Center’s tech staff is so competent it instituted a highly-respected stage intern program whose graduates are welcomed into IATSE. (There is also a Visiting Production Office equipped with a DSL line, FAX machine and a telephone.) In addition, the Center has its own front-of-house staff and ticket office.
