Millie, a young bride living in the 1840's Oregon wilderness, plans to civilize and marry off her six rowdy brothers-in-law to ensure the success of her own marriage. Her plan backfires when the brothers kidnap six women from a neighbouring town to be their brides. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is all boisterous fun and romance that harkens back to the glory days of the movie musical.

San Diego Youth Symphony Showcase Concerts

Prepare to be awed by fantastic performances from our region’s most
talented young musicians in SDYS’ orchestras and wind ensembles. These
concerts shine a light on the Concerto Competition winners Sara Kornfeld
Simpson, performing Cecil Chaminade’s Concertino, and Ryan Park, performing
Mozart’s Concerto No. 3 in G Major.
The repertoire celebrates the end of the season and displays the tremendous
skill SDYS’ students have achieved after a year of training and rehearsals.
The 1pm Showcase Concert will feature SDYS Debut Winds, Concert Winds, Wind
Symphony and Concert Orchestra. The 7pm Showcase Concert will feature SDYS
Debut Strings, Concert Strings, Sinfonia, Wind Ensemble and Chamber
Orchestra.

Gershwin! Berlin! Sondheim! The exciting season finale by the Escondido Choral Arts Program will have you tapping your feet and singing along to favorite musical theater tunes and more. Joined by the award-winning Peter Pupping Band for this vivacious summer concert, The Center Chorale and Center Children’s Chorus will present a program of time honored melodies. In addition to the musical theater pieces, the program will include the unique and beautiful “Mukari” by Orange County composer, Brent Pierce. Featuring Joe Valent, piano and conducted by Dr. Joe Stanford, this is a concert you don’t want to miss!

Enjoy the passion and talent of SDYS’ most talented musicians in this
concert featuring SDYS' Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonia. The program
will include Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35, to be
performed by the exceptional SDYS Concerto Competition Winner Jasmine Wang.
This concert marks the end of the 2012-2013 Season and celebrates the hard
work and exceptional level that SDYS’ most skilled musicians have achieved.
For the SDYS musicians who are graduating from high school in June this
concert marks the end of their studies with SDYS as they move on to the
next stage of their lives.

Consensus Entertainment produces the annual events BODY ROCK DANCE COMPETITION and BODY ROCK JUNIOR. Beginning in the year 2000, BODY ROCK has become an iconic event in the dance community. We draw a crowd of over 2,000 people with participants coming from all over the world.
This year International dance crews from Japan, New Zealand, London, Holland and Germany join the top teams from the USA to compete for first place and share their passion for dance!
Influenced by the top adult dance teams, the junior division crews take over the stage in BODY ROCK JUNIOR. All participants are 18 and under. Only the best up and coming talent are invited to compete in this youth division competition. With the success of Body Rock, Consensus Entertainment is proud to present the second annual Body Rock Junior.
Preshow includes all style battles, spoken word, and special performances from amazing junior teams! DJ Sake and Maneone open the preshow spinning live music at 5:30pm.
