Joey Molina is an accomplished singer and actor whose credits include four seasons with the Old Globe Theatre, performing in productions such as “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!,” “Celebration of the Lizard,” “Zoot Suit,” and “A Christmas Carol” at the San Diego Repertory Theatre.

Jade Buddha for Universal Peace

After traveling around the world and attracting almost 5 million viisitors, the
Phat Da Buddhist Temple of San Diego is bringing the beautifully crafted Jade
Buddha to make its temporary home on the Great Green Lawn for visitors far and
wide to see. The Jade Buddha, symbolizing Universal Peace, towers 8 feet
high and sits on a 4.5 foot alabaster throne. It weighs over 4 tons and
has been hand carved from a very rare piece of gemstone quality jade. Its
size and beauty make it a "wonder of the world."
Throughout the Jade Buddha's nine day stay, ther will be multiple daily events
consisting of musical performances, meditations, Dharma teachings (including two
in English), and even special celebrations to ring in the Chinese New Year.

As four-part guy groups harmonized their way across the airwaves, Forever Plaid made their rise to the top. Not even a fatal car crash could stop the old-fashioned gents in plaid as they try to ‘make it,’ making the best of the toughest of rejections and the most challenging roadblocks — including death. See the Plaids return to Earth for one final concert, performing some of the greatest hits from the ’50s before returning to heaven.
